Ms Sabiha M

I am a fully qualified and experienced primary teacher and am able to confidently teach all subjects within the Primary National Curriculum; from Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1/ Key Stage 2 and across all ages and abilities. My main strengths are when teaching children who are struggling in Mathematics and English, especially if they have a ‘fear’ of the subject- breaking down any barriers to learning, by use of positive praise and developing their confidence with a ‘can do’ attitude. As well as teaching English at KS3, 4 and 5, I am also a GCSE examiner and KS2 SATs examiner. I have also examined A-level Literature. I have taught all exam boards, either in my role as an English teacher or tutor, and my results at GCSE and A-Level are consistently excellent. At A-Level I tutor in the areas of genre, textual study, context, wider reading and extended coursework elements. Throughout lockdown, I taught via Zoom, and I am happy to offer tutoring via this medium to students as I have found it to be an excellent method of intervention.
