I have been teaching English in secondary schools in Devon and Gloucester since 2000, with 9 years' experience as a Head of English. These include comprehensive and grammar schools and my current position in a private school. The most important thing I have learned in that time is that my specialist knowledge, however vital, is the least important part of my skill set. My role is to coach students to manage themselves as effective learners. I am experienced with GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, including English Language, English Literature and Media Studies.
