I have previously been Head of Year 9 and am currently the teacher in charge of the Edexcel iGCSE English Language and Literature curriculum in my current post. Over the last five years, my GCSE and iGCSE classes have achieved an average of 90% grades 9-7. I am driven to help students build confidence in my students, empowering them to realise their potential and as part of my current role as Head of Academic Projects at a high-achieving London independent school, I am involved in several research projects aimed at developing an approach to teaching that fosters independent learning. My goal is to inspire my students and tutees to develop a self-motivated love of learning. It’s a joy to watch them grow into self-confident, passionate English students who are driven to achieve.
