I can support literacy at all levels and teach functional skills to adults, too. Being bilingual and having a background in EFL, I also have extensive experience in that field and have been a marker for Anglia Examinations for four years. I am also a qualified ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and have supported pupils with emotional and social difficulties over the years. I trained in Scotland and taught in West Lothian for a number of years. I now live in Hampshire and have taught both in state and independent schools. More recently I have been teaching from home on a one to one basis to children aged 10-16 years. Subjects have included English up to KS3 and Maths K2 to GCSE levels. Currently a Specialist Teacher at Bruton School for Girls, teaches learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties and English at both Primary and Secondary levels. Has worked for the local authority as an advisory teacher and more recently in her local secondary school as the Literacy Coordinator; now teaches and assesses in a variety of locations. As a parent of children with specific learning difficulties, understands how challenging it can sometimes be to identify problems and put in effective support. I am a qualified teacher and have been working in education, with students aged 5-18, for over 20 years in a variety of roles - as a class teacher, one to one intervention mentor, supply teacher and private tutor.
