Recently attained 6 mandatory ASD mentor modules from National Autistic Society. I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher with 20 years teaching experience. I have worked with children aged from 4-11 and am currently the Upper Key Stage 2 coordinator for a Primary school in Surrey. I am very confident teaching and inspiring children to achieve their very best. I also tutor children and am creative and experienced in making a creative, bespoke curriculum tailored to the interests of the child. I am able to develop confidence and creative thinking within children. I specialise in Primary school age and have an excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum. I always keep up to date with new and innovative educational developments and look to use ICT to aid children’s learning. I believe that the whole child is important- pshe and philosophy as well as sport and exercise is very important I children’s development and learning. I very much look forward to the opportunity of helping children learn and develop on an individual 1:1 teaching programme.I am a very experienced Primary School teacher. I’ve taught all primary age children from 4-11yrs. With 20 yrs experience I am able to inspire children to achieve their best through a creative bespoke curriculum, tailored to your child’s learning style and interests.I’ve an excellent working knowledge of the national curriculum and the varying aspects within it.I believe that the whole child should be developed, so would build in thinking skills, philosophy, PE, languages, music and art etc when designing a personalised learning programme for children.

I have been involved in Education for the last 19 years. During this time, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from the age of 3 to 30, with a range of needs. Initially I worked in Primary schools, from Reception to KS2. I then went on to gain my specialist qualifications. A PGCE in Dyslexia and Literacy, and an Assessment Practising Certificate, I then began working for myself. I currently work in school settings and privately. This involves assessing pupils and if necessary diagnosing them with Specific Learning Difficulties, such as Dyslexia. I also work with pupils, both in Primary and Secondary school. Some children I work with just need an ‘extra boost’, or specific subject support. I also give support for exam preparation, study skills, organisational strategies etc. Alongside this I work with children with complex needs such as, dyslexia and dyscalculia, ranging from 4 to 18 year olds. I also support class teachers and provide SpLD training for schools.

A highly experienced and encouraging teacher working in Years 5 and 6 in a large, exciting, academic and sporty preparatory school. Having taught Year 1 up to Year 8 during my career, I have enjoyed my jobs in the state, private and international school systems and have a strong grasp of children's needs and expected progress at every step of their formative years. I have been a Maths Co-ordinator, Head of English and a Director of Studies, and my specialist subject is English, which I have taught to scholarship level at 11+ and 13+. Currently, I mark the exam papers of pupils hoping to attend my school and have assessed at 7+. My pupils have won places to a range of independent and public schools near Guildford and across the South East of England. Recently, I have completed specialist training in writing and reading 'at greater depth' and comprehensive spelling training. I look forward to instilling my pupils with skills and a sense of confidence, inspiring them with engaging, targeted, effective teaching.
