Qualified and experienced Primary and Key Stage 3 Teacher and Head of English, with over 9 years' experience teaching children from a broad range of backgrounds, with varying abilities. A wealth of SEN experience including EAL, developmental delay, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and Down's syndrome. Has also worked with Pupil Referral Units to successfully reintegrate pupils back into mainstream education. Teaches the full Primary National Curriculum across EYFS, and Key Stages 1 and 2. Also offers Key Stage 3 English and Maths.

Over 10 years' experience as Senior English Teacher and Head of Department in a private school in Namibia. Previously worked at the Namibian Ministry of Education as a Curriculum Consultant and External Examiner, also attended and lectured in teacher training workshops offered by the institute. The Namibian curriculum is based on British GCSE and A-Level courses, leaving little difference between the two. Teaches English Language and Literature from Key Stage 3 to GCSE/IGCSE; also A level English Literature.

Significant SEN experience. I have taught study skills and academic writing to college and university level for many years but have not taught GCSE English syllabus for a long time. I have worked with many students with different issues including dyslexia and other challenges including deafness and partical sight loss, however I have not specially trained for these. A lot of my experience is teaching 1-1 or with micro groups, mainly within a classroom setting but I have also taught at home for International Homestays and Bromley Tutors, 'in-company' for Leo Languages and Pool Language Services and on a farm for a Kent based charity.

Passionate about giving young people the best possible education in life and enjoys working in a busy environment and relishes the challenge of managing a diverse workload. She can establish a supportive relationship with not only students but also their parents and fellow teachers all with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student’s independence and self-esteem.
