I am currently tutoring English Language and Literature from KS2 to A Level and up to University standard. I qualified as a teacher with the London Waldorf Seminar in Baker Street and went on to teach English Language and Literature at GCSE and A Level in two Steiner Schools. I then worked for three years delivering literacy support to teenagers and adults taking their English GCSE at Newham College of Further Education. Furthermore, I have three years of experience privately tutoring students in English Language, Literature and Classics from GCSE to University level. I have particular experience in taking students through the Edexcel and AQA GCSE and A Level English exams, and of getting students one or even two grades higher than expected. My ethos lies in balancing the more individualized approach to language found in Steiner education; eliciting the strengths of a student's individual response, and enabling them to use this to dig towards the deeper and finer points that the examiners are looking for.
