I am a teacher of 14 years' experience and thoroughly enjoy my job. I taught for 10 years in London in a range of schools before moving to a Grammar School in Buckinghamshire. I am currently Acting Head of English at Rickmansworth School in Hertfordshire. I teach English Language and English Literature from Prep and Key Stage 3, through to GCSE and A Level across all the major Exam Boards. I pride myself in teaching stimulating lessons of rich academic pedigree. I have a record of achieving high examination results across the Key Stages.

Qualified teacher and Director of Studies, with 18 years' experience of preparing pupils for 11+ & Day School Entrance exams (English & VR) and Common Entrance (History & Latin up to and including Lev 3). I expect high standards from my students and have previously prepared pupils for successful entry to lots of the major public schools, including Eton, Harrow, Charterhouse, St Paul's, King's College (Wimbledon) and so on. I particularly enjoy teaching the 8 - 13 age range and have had excellent results both with the very able and with those who need more support and the boost to their self-confidence that one-to-one tuition can give.

I am a literature and linguistics Oxford graduate (although a while ago now!) I am half French and a qualified and experienced French and English teacher with a broad experience in teaching across the age and ability range both in schools and privately. I offer learning support and coaching to students of all abilities and have a wide range of resources and ideas to help motivate and build the confidence of my students. I offer French from Primary through to A level and English GCSE Language and Literature. I also greatly enjoy teaching French to adult learners. I have three teenagers of my own and also currently work in mental health. I have always been interested in the link between well-being and learning.
