I am a highly experienced English teacher and my most recent position was as Head of Secondary English in a 4-18 school in Newham. I have almost a decade of classroom experience, during which time I have a proven track record of outstanding results at both GCSE and A-Level. My time as an AQA, IGCSE and Edexcel examiner means that I have the experience and skills to support with preparation for examinations across a range of exam boards for students aiming for the top grades. Prior to this I spent three years working as a remedial literacy specialist in my previous school, where I supported students both with SEN needs such as dyslexia and also English as an Additional Language. I am passionate about high quality inclusion and bringing English literature alive for all students. From January I will be available to teach during the day and after school lessons.
