I have over eight years’ experience working with children additional needs. I have done so in a range of settings including therapeutic schools, SEN schools and community projects. I have supported students with a range of needs including but not limited to autism, ADHD and emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have taught through all the primary key stages including EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have also taught secondary age students who due to their additional needs are working to a primary curriculum. In my current role I teach Functional Skills and GCSE English. This includes entry level, level, and level 1.

I believe that we are all learners and simply need an opportunity to learn skills to help us reach our true potential. My love for teaching stems from my pride in seeing those I have helped succeed. I am currently working as a teacher within a Birmingham school and am in charge of D&T and computing. I am in my 15th year of teaching and have worked in many schools in the Birmingham and Sandwell area.
