Mrs Barbara J

I have been a primary teacher for over 30 years, and am currently working in a support role in Y6 for two days each week, focusing on the development of literacy and maths skills with identified small groups and individuals. During my career, I have worked as a teacher in all primary year groups from Reception - Year 6. I enjoy teaching maths and am skilled in making assessments to identify gaps in learning. I am familiar with the expectations of the maths curriculum in Year 4 and the underlying skills needed to progress and succeed. I have considerable experience in planning and carrying out intervention programmes that help children to understand mathematical concepts and to boost their confidence in knowing the steps they need to take to solve problems. It’s also important to make maths interesting and fun, and I always aim to achieve this in my teaching in addition to meeting the learning objective of the lesson.

Miss Rose U

I am a fully qualified Primary teacher with 8 years of experience. I left my full-time teaching role in order to fulfil my dream of setting up a business, and know that my skills and outlook on life can be greatly appreciated by children up and down the country. My main area of qualities is upper KS2, as I spent a majority of my teaching life in Y6 preparing for SATs and secondary school. I am hugely passionate about nurturing the whole child - not just preparing for a test. I aim to increase confidence and belief in all the children I interact with and have had many glowing reviews from parents because of this. I believe that having fun is a huge advantage to learning, therefore aim to make my sessions interactive and memorable.
