Highly experienced former Primary School teacher and Deputy Head, with 28 years teaching in both independent and maintained sectors; now is a full-time tutor in Weaverham, Cheshire. Teaches all National Curriculum subjects across Key stages 1 and 2 and has extensive knowledge of assessment. She has experience of teaching Year 1 phonics using Letters and Sounds and supporting reading and writing. She has a range of resources, both on line and in person for helping children with their learning. Fiona develops excellent relationships with children and quickly puts them at their ease. Her lessons are a combination of skill development through specific activities and exercises and light hearted fun and games. Currently Fiona's time is limited for home visits but she is happy to take on new local pupils at her house.

Ms Sabiha M

I am a fully qualified and experienced primary teacher and am able to confidently teach all subjects within the Primary National Curriculum; from EYFS to KS1/ 2 and across all ages and abilities. Currently, I am providing numerous families with; - Extensive support for schooling/ post lockdown recovery/ general tuition - Preparation for end of year tests, including Y2 and Y6 SATs - Deliver tuition (with 100% pass rate) for independent and grammar school entrance exams. Both CEM and GL papers (M/E/V/NV) - Some SEN experience (Poor working memory/ ADHD/ Dyslexia/ Speech & Language) . My main strengths are when teaching children who are struggling in Mathematics and English, especially if they have a ‘fear’ of the subject- breaking down any barriers to learning, by use of positive praise and developing their confidence with a ‘can do’ attitude. Miss Nicola M

I am a qualified and experienced practising English teacher, with extensive experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in both independent and state schools. I am also currently teaching on the teacher training course sharing Ofsted Outstanding Teaching Practice. I have an excellent proven record of success at GCSE and IGCSE English, with 100% pass rate for the past three years at Level 4 above, with a number of students exceeding their target grades. I also taught a re-sit GCSE group that all passed with at least a grade 4; some of the students had previously only achieved a Level 2. A number of my students have also achieved the very top Grade 9 at GCSE and I offer both support and extensive stretch and challenge in my lessons. I am passionate about my subject and this is key in promoting student engagement and academic success. I am also a current team leader for GCSE and A Level English exam marking.
