Qualified and experienced SEN teacher, specialising in supporting children with dyslexia. Currently SENCO at Hanham Abbots Junior School. Supports children in English and Maths across Key Stage 2. Up to date knowledge of the curriculum and teaching strategies to provide small steps in learning to ensure success and build confidence. Wide experience in teaching children with special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, general learning difficulties, dyspraxia, speech and language difficulties, social and emotional difficulties and low confidence with Maths and English. Currently, an examiner with EDUQAS and has also taught EDEXCEL, OCR and AQA exam boards. 'My resources are often used by my colleagues and my Drama background means that I am able to deliver lessons in an engaging and supportive manner. I am more than happy to support students at Key Stage 2, 3, 4 and 5. My background also means that I can support essay writing skills and literacy. I can also empathise with students who struggle with SPLD as my younger sister is dyslexic and dyspraxic.'
