I have a 25-year track record of guiding students to excellent A Level, GCSE and school entrance exam results. My intention is always to equip young people with the rigorous skills needed to attain strong grades, whilst nurturing their flair and imagination. As a full-time tutor I am available for weekday, daytime sessions and welcome students who are being home schooled or struggle in a school environment. Years of experience as a GCSE and A Level examiner have given me insight into why some students succeed above others. I recognise every child is different and every child thrives on personalised, flexible ways of learning. This is particularly vital when tutoring dyslexic students and those with concerns around processing and retaining information. I am convinced that my expertise and 'can do' teaching style gives all students the confidence to flourish. My forensic knowledge of entrance requirements for prestigious schools, means that your child will have the best possible chance.

I qualified as a primary school teacher in 1993. I I have taught all ages in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2: working in The Channel Islands, London, Bedfordshire and Suffolk in all kinds of schools. I was a former deputy headteacher in a school for children with learning difficulties particularly pupils with ASD. I mainly tutor in English and Mathematics for Key Stage 1 & 2 but occasionally older pupils who need a boost in literacy and numeracy and preparation for SATs.I am also happy to provide catch-up / reinforcement following absence from school. The transition from Primary to Secondary school can challenge some pupils as can moving year groups in Primary - particularly if they are one of the youngest in their year group. As an experienced teacher I can help with gaps in knowledged / preparation for SATs etc. I am more than happy to tutor online using Zoom etc should parents request this. I am currently teaching in a primary school in Houghton Regis Bedfordshire.
