Member since 2021 Mr Adam W

I am an experienced primary school teacher of 6 years based in Nottingham. I have taught classes of every KS2 year group including high numbers of SEN and higher ability pupils. I am practised at coaching Year 6 pupils through their SATs exams and have a thorough and deep knowledge of the entire primary curriculum. I have also been extremely successful at pushing higher ability pupils and deepening their mastery of the curriculum. My teaching is creative, engaging and indivisualised to the needs of each and every pupil. I bring a love and passion to the role that I believe has lit and nurtured a spark within my pupils. While online tutoring is a fairly new venture for me, my classroom experience has given me a wide perspective of the challenges that KS2 pupils face. However, I have also identified the areas in which additional tutoring outside of school can be beneficial and give pupils an additional sense of responsibility and curiosity for learning.

I am a highly qualified and vastly experienced secondary school English Teacher, who spent most of his career teaching English in an 'Outstanding' secondary school in Derby. Now, I am a successful self-employed home tutor, who teaches English Language and English Literature from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE, across all the major examination boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC. I also prepare students in Years 12 and 13 for their GCSE English Language re-sits. Also, I have a wide and extensive range of SEN experience, particularly students with Autism, ASD and Dyslexia. In addition, when I was Assistant Head of Year, I was responsible for mentoring students with a range of social and emotional issues and ensuring they could realise their full potential and achieve good grades. I create a calm and purposeful learning environment, which allows the learner to feel comfortable and confident in order to maximise potential. Member since 2021 Miss Charlotte G

Hi, I'm Charlotte, a qualified Primary School Teacher of 7 years. I gained a 2:1 Honors Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Birmingham in 2012. I then went on to successfully complete my PGCE in 2013. Since then I have taught in various primary schools, including in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I have also done some private tuition and currently provide tuition online for both British and overseas students. In addition to this, I also hold a Level 5 TEFL Certificate and currently teach pupils how to speak English. I can offer lessons in Writing, Reading and Maths according to the National Curriculum, or a combination of these. I have lots of experience of teaching children with SEN and EAL. I'm really enjoying teaching online and adapting my classroom to make it virtual! If we can't meet in person, I'll make sure I provide tuition of a very high standard. I use positive behaviour management strategies and lots of praise.
