I have developed online teaching using Skype or zoom that has proved successful and enjoyable. As an experienced teacher of English language and literature I have taught all levels from KS2 through to A’level. I am passionate about my subject and believe that all students can succeed given the right support. I have taught learners with many barriers to learning and additional needs. For ten years I taught in adult education college; the last 5 of which I was curriculum lead for the 14-16 college where I was part of the team of teachers who achieved outstanding for our KS4 cohort. Over the past 3 years I have worked part time as a private tutor. I believe in student-centred learning allowing students to actively participate in their learning. 1:1 tuition provides the student with the opportunity to engage with texts in a depth they often miss in the busy classroom environment. Exam boards I have taught: AQA, Edexcel and WJEC, both language and literature.

Subjects: SEN, English, English Language, English Literature
