I went into teaching because I love literature and I love working with young people! I have worked in independent schools since 2005 and as a private tutor since 2013 and have taught all the major exam boards at GCSE, iGCSE and A level as well as 11+, 13+, ACT and SAT prep, and Literature at undergraduate level. I specialise in preparing students for Ripon Grammar School and for Common Entrance. I have examined English for OCR, AQA and CIE and have also taught Drama and Theatre Studies A level, preparation for the ACT and SAT, and Literature at undergraduate level. I have many years of experience teaching students with educational special needs. I believe that study and revision skills are incredibly important and always teach them alongside academic subjects, have QTS and a Boarding Schools Association certificate in pastoral care, and complete the statutory Keeping Children Safe in Education training yearly.
