I am a highly experienced English Literature and Language teacher. I have been teaching GCSE, IGCSE, AS level, A level and IB English for over 13 years in top UK independent and international schools, including St Peter's York, St Albans, Uppingham, Bablake and The British International School, Ho Chi Minh City. I have a proven long track record of superb results and can offer expert tuition in all aspects of the subject. My management roles have included Head of Department (Uppingham), 2nd in Department (Uppingham, Bablake and St Albans) and Head of Year (British International School, HCMC). I am currently taking a career break from teaching in order to care for my wife who has suffered recent illness and hospitalisation. I would like to to continue teaching from home, however, through online tutoring if possible. Many thanks for considering my application.

I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher with over twenty years' experience most recently in Year 3 and Year 5 at a local school in Peterborough. I have previously a subject leader in English and experienced working with a wide variety of Special Educational Needs. I am confident with teaching all subjects within the Primary National Curriculum across all stages, EYFS, KS 1 and KS 2. In March 2020 I decided to leave full time teaching and become a tutor. At the moment, I am working with a range of children across the primary age group , also I am working with children who are being home-schooled for a variety of reasons. I am finding being a tutor very rewarding as I can adjust the curriculum to suit the different needs of the children and I have been able to watch them gain confidence and flourish with their learning.
