Hello, I love helping students with their English studies, and have been tutoring for almost 20 years, with a great deal of experience teaching at Primary level supporting SATs and reading intervention, as well as teaching secondary GCSE English and SEN students. Currently, I am working part-time at a local outstanding secondary school as a literacy intervention teacher, supporting transition from Year 6 to 7, as well as working with EAL students to achieve GCSE English language. I have taught at KS1 and KS2, and coached students for the 11+/School Entrance Examinations. I really enjoy working as a private tutor supporting students on a one-to-one basis, in person and online, I have also worked as an examiner for AQA English language GCSE.

I am a qualified teacher with over 30 years experience, 7 as a tutor. I currently tutor from year 2 to year 9 in all subjects; Maths and English up to GCSE level and Functional skills in maths and English for adults and young people. I specialise in building confidence and helping a student reach their full potential, by using methods that suit the individual student. In addition, I aim to challenge more able students. I have extensive knowledge and experience of SPLD, specifically dyslexia and dyscalculia, ASD and students with anxiety or mental health conditions as well as school refusers.
