Having seen my own children through their GCSE and A-level exams, I have personal experience of the anxieties these difficult years can cause both students and their parents. I am patient and motivated to see students achieve success as a result of hard work. I am happy to travel to students or the welcome them to my home in Wantage. During the pandemic I have successfully delivered tutoring online via Zoom, Facetime and Microsoft Teams. I am a qualified teacher with 24 years' experience of teaching Maths, tutoring primary and secondary school aged children and students taking GCSE exams. I currently teach maths and tutor students from Key Stage 1 through to GCSE and IGCSE; Functional Skills English and Maths for adult students and support GCSE and IGCSE resits. I tutor both in person and online. I am familiar with a variety of exam boards including AQA and Edexcel. My most recent GCSE students achieved grade 5, grade 7 and grade 8 respectively (Summer 2020) and grade 5 and 7 respectively (Summer 2021).

Mrs Laura T

I am a qualified and experienced English Teacher who has taught in high attaining secondary schools for over 20 years. I now use my experience to work as a part-time tutor. I teach English at KS3 and GCSE, as well as English Literature A-Level. In addition to this, I am able to support those children in KS2, 3 and 4 who are educated at home. I also offer English language support to EAL students as well as support for IELTS examinations.

Mrs Tammy G

I have been providing tuition in KS3 to GCSE English and KS2 11+ independent school exams for children with a wide variety of abilities and interests. I am also an AQA examiner of GCSE English Language with three years of marking experience and an excellent understanding of the Language and Literature exams. Students who struggle with English benefit from my teaching approach because we find strategies that work for them, and I have a good understanding of strategies that work for dyslexia, including phonics-based instruction. Moreover, all of my 11+ students to date have received places at Bristol Grammar, Redmaids' High, Clifton High, QEH and other independent schools in Bristol. I offer a free introductory session, which includes a thorough overview of my approach and an opportunity for us to get to know each other.

Mrs Carole-Anne D

Qualified and experienced teacher with over 25 years' experience working in Bristol, currently offering home tuition in both English and Maths, up to key stage 4. I am also supporting students in a range of additional subjects including humanities, psychology, sociology and public services. Previously Head of Department for Health and Social Care, Childcare and Religious Education. Can teach all these subjects up to A Level/BTEC Level 3. Also experienced working in a local Children’s Centre and Primary School supporting students with literacy. Supports English up to GSCE level, helping students of all ages from those who are struggling with reading to those who are preparing for SATs or English GCSEs. Has also worked with students with a range of different special educational needs and can help them build confidence and develop an enjoyment of English.

Ms Tracie L

Qualified and experienced Sociology, Psychology and English Teacher, currently an advisory teacher for children with autism. Teaches Sociology and Psychology at GCSE and A level across all the major Exam Boards; worked as an AQA examiner for A level Sociology for many years. Also teaches English from Prep and Key Stage 3, through to GCSE and IGCSE. Extensive SEN experience, has a postgraduate diploma in autism and has also recently completed the mental health First Aider course and is very interested in supporting children with additional needs.
