I am a qualified teacher with over 30 years experience, 8 as a tutor. I currently tutor from year 2 to year 9 in all subjects; Maths and English (both language and literature) to GCSE level and Functional skills in maths and English for adults and young people. I specialise in building confidence and helping a student reach their full potential, by using methods that suit the individual student. In addition, I aim to challenge more able students. I have extensive knowledge and experience of SPLD, specifically dyslexia and dyscalculia, ASD and students with anxiety or mental health conditions as well as school refusers. I also work with SEN students one-to-one and I have experience of teaching adults and young adults in both the UK and in Germany. I seek to find practical solutions to the issues these students face in their learning as well as mentoring them if required.

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with 30 years experience. Currently, I am a part time tutor and supply teacher, I have taught all core subjects across the Primary National Curriculum in Key Stages 1 and 2. I am specifically experienced in the classroom, teaching reading, writing and spelling, with emphasis on phonics. I use a variety of different schemes, tailor made to the individual child, ensuring that the lessons are both interesting and enjoyable. I have taught many children online over the last 2 years, supporting parents of children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
