I am an English Teacher with 17 years experience of teaching from 11-19. The bulk of my career has been spent teaching and writing curriculum for A level English Language and English Literature. I have also taught a range of exam boards and texts at GCSE level. I have spent time as an examiner for both GCSE and A level English Literature and have led Key Stages in these qualifications. I have experience teaching high ability and SEN students and I like to encourage learning and progression through a range of pedagogical techniques like scaffolds, quizzes and visual aids. In my own professional development, I am currently working on developing links between English Language and Literature through my teaching; this is to help students improve their working memory.

Ms Jane H

Qualified and experienced English and Mathematics teacher. I have over 20 years teaching and leadership experience. My lessons both primary and secondary were graded by Ofsted as 'outstanding'. I have worked extensively on English and Mathematics curriculums in primary schools and received a national award for my work in this area. I am currently working with school leaders to create individualized learning pathways. Alongside this work, I provide home school tuition on a long term basis from KS1 to GCSE. My students have achieved high levels in SATS, 11+ exams and GCSE. One of my specialisms is English at GCSE Level. I was Assistant Headteacher at West Oaks SEN School with responsibility for curriculum. Also Assistant Vice Principal at Springwell Primary Academy and Assistant Principal at Boston Spa High School.

Miss Eleanor R

Qualified and experienced teacher specialising in supporting children with Special Educational Needs. Provides assessment and support for children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, sensory difficulties, ADHD, autism, physical disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties; across all ages and Key Stages, from Primary though to Secondary. MA Education, Previous to my special needs career I worked as an A level biology teacher for 15 years. Miss Clare M

I am a Primary qualified teacher, with experience teaching across all age groups (EYFS, Key Stage 1 & 2) in both UK and International schools. In addition, I have experience tutoring all ages (4-16 years) in the core subjects (Maths, English and Science) online and in-person. Having trained in UK Ofsted Outstanding schools, I am committed to quality teaching and learning. I believe in leaving no child behind, and aim for all students to be confident readers, writers and speakers. Experience in a range of Phonic programs ensures that I am able to deliver on this. I have a keen interest in how young people learn Mathematics. Utilising a concrete-pictorial-abstract approach, I teach for mastery of the subject. I particularly enjoy creating opportunities for children in Early Years to experience counting principles- a fundamental skill to set them up as mathematicians for life.

With over 16 years experience, I am a highly qualified Primary Teacher and Senior Leader. I teach across the Primary age range including EYFS, Key Stages 1 and 2.
