I teach small groups of pupils weekly at a local secondary school to build their confidence whilst simultaneously improving their exam technique and grades obtained. Mr David H

I am a highly experienced tutor both in-person and online with over 500 hours of tuition to my name. Most of my students gain A* - B grades, whilst others, who come to me for confidence building along with tuition, gain grades above those predicted. Previously, I spent 28 years in senior management in small and medium sized businesses before qualifying as a teacher in 2007. I have taught in two very different schools; I spent 8 years in an inner-city school in south Walsall teaching Business, Economics, Law and Accounting. After a heart operation in 2012, I decided to teach part-time and in 2016 moved to a school in rural Shropshire where I taught Business, Economics and Law for three days a week, but started to establish myself as a tutor, primarily in Economics. In 2019 I decided to retire from teaching in order to run a Kumon franchise in south Birmingham and to continue to tutor in Economics. I am fully insured and am signed up to the DBS update service.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:

Qualifications:
Teaching Induction Completion Certificate (2008). PGDip Management Applications of Psychology, University of Wolverhampton (2007). PGCert Secondary Schools: Business Studies, University of Wolverhampton (2007). BA (Hons) Business Studies, University of Wolverhampton (1995).
