I am passionate about Science and I enjoy explaining the principles of the subject to my pupils. I am a qualified Science teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience and I have worked as a Head of Science for the past 5 years. I have worked with pupils of all abilities and I enjoy seeing the difference small group work can make to both pupil confidence and understanding. I have also worked as an examiner for OCR. I am a biology specialist but I have taught all three sciences up to GCSE. Having given up my classroom teaching role in July 2021, I have enjoyed tutoring privately. I teach both online and in person, with most availability during the day (up to 6pm), and evening availability on a Tuesday and Wednesday. I have taught home-schooled pupils as well as those needing extra help when preparing for public examinations. I have three grown-up children and a golden labrador called Rosie. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and outdoors playing tennis, walking and paddle-boarding.
