I have been providing tuition in English (KS3 to GCSE) and 11+ independent school exams (KS2) for children with a wide variety of abilities and interests. Students who struggle with motivation and reading, spelling and maths benefit from my approach because we identify the strategies that work for them. Though not a SEND specialist, I have a strong understanding of dyslexia and autism, particularly in how children process language and communication differently. My teaching methods are focused on content knowledge and skills development to help students achieve their goals and build confidence. In our first session together, we will identify current strengths and areas for improvement, develop an overarching goal (i.e. improve predicted grades in English) and set specific targets to achieve that goal. I offer a free introductory session, which includes a thorough overview of my approach, an introduction to the online platform I use for teaching and an opportunity for us to get to know each other.
