During my teaching career I have been Head of Key Stage 3 Science, Head of Chemistry, Academic Deputy Head and Headteacher. I have taught AQA, OCR and Edexcel science specifications and been a team examiner for A level OCR and Edexcel. Prior to teaching, I was a university lecturer having gained a first class honours degree in Chemistry and PhD from Southampton University. I have been teaching using mobile technology both in the classroom and remotely for 10 years having setup one of the first apple schools the UK. With my students I aim to clearly explain the fundamentals of a topic, going through worked examples and then support them as necessary in attempting increasingly challenging questions, with a focus on exam technique.

I currently teach all three Sciences in the highest performing and one of the biggest federations in the country. After obtaining my first degree, I completed my teaching qualification specialising in Physics. My passion for teaching all three Sciences gave me the opportunity of teaching Chemistry, Physics, and Psychology up to A/L. Also, have experience teaching SEN students in a mainstream setting.
