I am a very experienced teacher. I have taught Business Studies GCSE, A-level and BTEC for 20 years in schools. I have been a Head of Department for over 10 years and have recently taught Business at a private boarding school in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. I have also taught an an British school in Dubai for over 10 years. My classes have always had excellent results - with almost all students moving forward to Russell Group universities. I am also an Examiner for GCSE Business and IB Business Management for the past 6 years. I am very supportive, understanding and patience and aim to make my students more confident and independent so that they can succeed in their examinations or coursework. I breakdown and scaffold through careful student orientated teaching - using Powerpoints, worksheets, activities and videos. Exam practice and breaking down higher mark questions is also a speciality of mine - to make sure students understand, apply, analyse and use evaluation.

I have a PGCE in Early Years specialising in 3-7 year olds' education and development. I have 1-1 tutored phonics and maths for ages 4 up to 11. My time in the classroom has mostly been spent in reception classes, but I have taught in the classroom from nursery (age 2) up to year 5. My CPD is continually ongoing as I am always looking for ways to improve myself. After tutoring an individual with autism and ADHD for maths throughout the majority of his primary education, I specialise in maths and Literacy. I have a great knowledge of SEND in particular ADHD as I have worked with many individuals with a range of additional needs and find it very rewarding.
