Teachers To Your Home aims to provide the highest quality of service to families and to teachers

Teachers To Your Home was founded in January 2015 by a group of school leaders and teachers in Oxford, with experience across the Independent, Grammar and State School Sectors. It has now developed into a large agency of over 18,000 qualified teachers, who also choose to offer their skills as high quality home tutors, across the UK. The majority of teachers continue to work full time in their local Independent, Grammar, Academy or Maintained State Schools. Teachers To Your Home is supported by a team of staff based in Oxfordshire.

We are the appointed agent of over 18,000 qualified teachers.

Tuition is largely an unregulated profession, with many tuition agencies and websites offering undergraduates, students, retired academics and others, as tutors. We believe that qualified teachers provide the highest quality of tuition. Our teachers are not just tutors, who support learning: they are professional teachers, who direct learning. Our teachers are subject specialists; experienced, energetic ... and up-to-date with an ever-changing curriculum, and the current requirements of exam boards and specifications.

We offer you a prompt and personal service

We introduce you to qualified and experienced teachers, who also choose to offer their services as high quality tutors. The engagement for tutoring services is between you and the tutor directly. We do not ask for any up-front payments or registration fees; we require our teachers to come to your home to teach, and to fit in with your schedule, which will enable you to directly experience the benefits of the high quality tuition that they give.

Our teachers can teach the full range of academic subjects from Primary, Junior and Prep School levels through to Secondary, GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A levels; they can deliver all specifications across all the major UK Examination Boards.

Our teachers will provide academic challenge for children who do not find this at their school. Our teachers will offer academic support to those who have missed out on some of their learning, whether through illness; absence; a lack of understanding at school or a lack of effort. A short, direct and intensive course of lessons can have a profound impact on an individual’s performance and confidence.

Tuition from Primary through to Adult Learners

Our teachers will prepare children for entry into Prep and Senior Schools, with School Entrance Examinations and Interview Practice, including 11+, 13+ and Common Entrance. A significant number of our teaching staff continue to teach in Independent and Grammar Schools and have excellent knowledge and experience of the process.

Our teachers will prepare young men and women for the world of university and work, with comprehensive interview practice and support for UCAS applications and professional careers advice.

Our teachers also teach a growing number of adults. Many clients wish to study through the daytime or at weekends, perhaps ambitious to learn a new language; better use their computer; study for a History A level or pick up their Maths again. Some want to pass an exam … others just want to keep on learning for their own enjoyment.

The very best teachers to do not simply tell or explain or demonstrate: they inspire and they change lives

We are fortunate to have the energy and enthusiasm of so many committed teachers that we can introduce you to. We believe that teachers do it best... and this is what we are about.
