Member since 2018 Mr Matthew G

I have been tutoring students for three years following a 20-year career as a teacher. My knowledge of maths is excellent and has allowed me to tutor many students, ranging from seven year-olds to pupils studying for their GCSEs. My depth of knowledge of the whole maths curriculum means that I am able to ensure students have no gaps in their learning, which is key to building confidence. As a teacher, I chose a wide variety of roles. For eleven years I worked as a class teacher in a small rural primary school (graded as outstanding by OFSTED) with just one other full-time teaching colleague. I was responsible for teaching all subjects throughout the primary years. I have excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum. I also run a business selling apps and puzzles I create to help children improve their maths and English skills. I have wide experience of teaching children with a variety of SEN issues including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and ADHD.

Subjects: Primary, SEN and Learning Support, Maths, School Entrance Exams, SATs, Homeschool, Study Skills, 11+
